The last day of eeg neurofeedback training here in Los Angeles, CA was eventful.  We went over various drugs and their side effects that neurofeedback can often help get people off of so that they can lead more normal lives without side effects.  Many side effects lead to taking other drugs to counteract the side effects, so that eventually, one is taking a litany of medications to get by.  Many are addictive as well, and some, the body becomes dependent upon so that you can never stop without serious withdrawal.

Eeg neurofeedback can reduce this dependence and sometimes eliminate the need for chemical solutions to brain issues like sleeplessness and anxiety.

We proceeded to train each other.  I had a negative reaction to the eeg biofeedback because I trained at a frequency that was too low.  I got dizzy and a little nauseous.  This was not good.  We worked through it and by the end, I felt better.  Interestingly, the fact that I felt bad informed me that the neurofeedback was doing it’s job.  It had an effect.  It also informed me that if not done correctly by a trained professional, you could make yourself feel sick.

Most people in the class reported that they slept better that night and were more resilient to negative events.  One person reported that his bruxism (grinding teeth) got significantly better after just two 30 minute training sessions!  Amazing results for those on the right frequency.

I continue to train and have felt (now that the protocol is set) that I am more resilient and less short-tempered.

At the end of the class, I received my training certificate.  I look forward to seeing my first peak performance client in the near future!  The Kurt, Siegfried, and Sue Othmer do amazing work and continue to make the biofeedback system better and better.
